Two Drifters is the world’s first carbon-negative distillery, founded by husband and wife duo Russ and Gemma Wakeham. The former is an organic chemist with experience in carbon capture and storage, and that experience has informed the brand’s planet-friendly production process with each possible choice is made according to the lowest carbon option.

Unlike many British distilleries, Two Drifters maintain control of the whole process. From the fermentation of the molasses, to the distilling, the spicing, the aging in casks, the bottling, labelling and shipping, it is all done in-house. Keeping full control of the process ensures consistent high quality in the rums, and allows them to use a variety of sustainable technologies to lower the carbon footprint.
